Discipleship Training at ELC

...with one another...To Build each other up in the gospel

At Emmanuel, we provide opportunities to all ages for growing in Christ’s likeness through study of the Word to more deeply believe the Gospel, sharing our lives in Christ with one another to build each other up in the Gospel, and encouraging one another to reach out to our neighbors to bring them the Gospel.
Discipleship is following Jesus in every circumstance of life and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our minds into the mind of Christ. Bible Studies are the primary means for growing in knowledge of the teachings of Christ so that the disciple is better equipped to learn more of Christ while daily following Him. The Mosaic Series, Sunday School classes, Midweek Adult Bible classes, Connection Groups and Fellowship Groups provide the setting for growing in discipleship at Emmanuel.
Mosaic Courses
The Mosaic Series is a mosaic of courses taught cyclically to facilitate building mature disciples and equipping them for service. The Sunday Adult Bible Class, which meet weekly from 9:30-10:15am every Sunday, will offer courses designed to lead the students through an educational framework of the Christian Faith; the Confessions of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod; the Mission, Vision, and Ministries of Emmanuel Lutheran Church; Connection Groups; and personal Discipleship. Current class information is available here.  Contact Persons – Adult Discipleship Leader, Carie Jorgenson and Sr. Pastor, Mark Carlson, 937-434-1798 or
